Mike Johnson keeps warning that a Democratic House would bring real accountability. He’s right.

Americans of every political stripe should welcome it. People keep telling me the same thing, that Washington works for the well-connected while working families get stuck with the bill.

About 1.8 million Californians could lose their health insurance by 2030 because of the Republican Big Ugly Bill pushed through by Speaker Mike Johnson and President Trump, and we can’t stand for it.

Spent this morning with students at Pacific Ridge High School talking about civic engagement and the future of our democracy. Several of them are voting for the very first time this cycle, and their energy and sense of purpose gave me real hope.

We need to get the nuclear waste off our coast.

More than 1,600 tons of spent nuclear fuel are still stored at SONGS, but it was never meant to stay there forever.

This week, I released my 2026 San Onofre report on the progress we’ve made and the work still ahead.

New reporting shows a subsidiary of private prison company GEO Group just gave another $1M to MAGA Inc., bringing its total to $5.4M, part of $7.2M to Republican committees this cycle.

Meanwhile Trump made multiple stock purchases in GEO Group and the other major private prison company, CoreCivic.

Absolutely disgusting.

For more than 280 days a year, Trump’s illegal Arch is supposed to cast a shadow on more than 75,000 graves of fallen heroes. Even the eternal flame would be cloaked in darkness.

The monument would darken the nation’s premier military burial ground early in the morning on more than 280 days a year, a Post analysis finds.

How the hell did this Administration allow a 28-year-old DOGE operative with zero government experience to take over USAID, fire thousands of federal employees, and shut down lifesaving aid programs around the world?

Despite the agency's human resources department saying he hadn’t even been onboarded, Jeremy Lewin oversaw the destruction of USAID. It’s not clear he had the legal authority to do so.
